Abstract
The water discharge in the inlets to Lake Vänern were in general higher than normal on an annual basis. The comparatively high water flow resulted in comparatively high nutrient transport in the watercourses, although the variation between the different rivers as well between years is in many cases considerable. The nutrient concentrations were on fairly low levels as well, although the interannual variability is quite large. The levels of organic matter are quite stable in the inlets as well as in the outlet.
