Abstract
In 2019 the water discharge in the inlets to Lake Vänern were in general slightly higher than normal on an annual basis, which is due to comparatively high precipitation during the autumn. The rather high water flow resulted in higher nutrient transport in the watercourses. The nutrient concentrations have been on fairly stable levels during recent years, but in 2019 this trend was broken with in many cases rather high concentrations especially for nitrogen. The levels of organic matter have stabilised or in some cases even decreased after some years with steadily increasing levels
