Abstract
This report presents the results of current research on grass production and forage utilisation in cattle and horses. The production and nutritive value of different forage species are presented, as well as technical solutions for grassland management and grazing, and the value of grasslands in the context of food supply and climate is discussed. The conference is organised by the Departments of Applied Animal Science and Welfare and Crop Production Ecology at SLU, in collaboration with Växa, the Swedish Rural Economy and Agricultural Society, Greppa Näringen (Swedish Board of Agriculture) and LRF.
