Skattningar baserade på hierarkiska urval: kombinera data från flera källor

Publication: Book/Report/ProceedingsReportResearch

Abstract

A flexible design for environmental monitoring, based on comprehensive data from remote sensing, has been developed within the National Inventory of Landscapes in Sweden (NILS). This design aims to effectively assess state and detect changes over time. NILS’s new system utilizes different sampling densities to survey common and rare phenomena in grasslands, deciduous forests, mountains, and coastal zones. The objective is to combine data for improved estimations of less common but significant phenomena and achieve enhanced monitoring over time. Statistical theory has been developed to optimize the utilization of data from various sampling densities within the inventories.
