Abstract

The Community system for monitoring and collection of information on zoonoses was established by Council Directive 92/117/ECC. This Directive was replaced in 2004 by a new Directive 2003/99/EC, laying down revised rules for monitoring and reporting. The new Directive covers reporting of data on zoonotic agents in animals, foodstuffs and feedingstuffs, as well as on antimicrobial resistance and food-borne outbreaks
